The Orange County Community Foundation is now offering 501©3 organizations, community groups, schools and libraries the opportunity to apply for grant funding for before, after or outside of school in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) projects or programs in Orange County. The STEM programming must occur outside of the traditional school day and promote opportunities for hands-on learning in STEM. The program may also fall within the summer months.

Orange County, as well as other counties within the ROI region were awarded the Advancing Out-Of-School STEM learning Grant from Regional Opportunity Initiatives Inc. to support science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Grant applications are available on-line only at the Orange County Foundation’s website www.occf-in.org. Applications must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 6th 2017. Application must be regarding STEM only. This is the first ever grant opportunity of this nature from the Orange County Community Foundation.

Awards will be distributed in November, projects must be completed and final reporting received within two years, with interval reporting during that time. Proof of sustainability for the program is a plus.
